Strohm is responsible for responding to legal demands that involve phone records for Sprint/Nextel.
DIRECT EXAMINATION: MS. BRAZIL:
The records reflect Murray as the subscriber for the Nextel/Sprint telephone number (702) ***-3747. The demographics for the number above are: Clark County, Las Vegas, Nevada.

He states all of Murray's calls listed on his documents are reflective of time based in Los Angeles.
Strohm acknowledges he has reviewed all calls or call activities made on June 25th from 7:01 a.m. to 1:08 p.m.

Brazil completes her direct examination of the witness. Then Brazil asks for clarification on the incoming call at 8: 49 a.m. She comments the chart states " 53 seconds" and below it is "48 seconds". Strohm says there are two entries--the first entry is a routed call and the second entry is the inbound call. The two entries account for one phone call. Strohm states this is known because the times overlap. He states there is an inbound aspect but because of the overlap it is essentially one inbound phone call, just two different durations. He says the more accurate duration is 53 seconds.
CROSS-EXAMINATION: MR. CHERNOFF
Chernoff asks Strohm to explain a routed call. Strohm explains there are two examples as to what a routed call is with the example he just looked at involving "A.T.L.D.N.". "A.T.L.D.N." is a temporary local dialing number which is a bridge number. This type of routing occurs when someone is in an area where they otherwise cannot find phone service. The bridge number helps complete the call by connecting them to the network so they may place the call. Thus, there is a routed and inbound aspect to what is one call. He adds that the customers would not realize that the call had been routed.
Chernoff completes his cross examination. Brazil does not re-direct examine Strohm so he is excused.
